University of South Alabama-Preview Day

The University of South Alabama will be hosting a Preview Day for seniors and their parents on November 14th, 2015. You may register on-line at www.southalabama.edu/usaday.

University of North Alabama-Preview Day

UAB Presidential Recognition Scholarship

The ACT requirement for the UAB Presidential Recognition Scholarship has been lowered. The ACT score must be 30 or higher and the GPA 3.5 or higher. To qualify for a UAB scholarship, a student’s admission application and all official supporting documentation must be received or postmarked by December 1st. Please remember that UAB will accept a December 2015 ACT test score for scholarship upgrade purposes.

Senior Parents: College Financial Aid Workshop

Seniors families are invited to a financial aid workshop on Monday, January 26 at 5:30 p.m.  The federal financial aid process will be discussed along with other forms of aid.  The meeting will be held in the computer lab.

University of Alabama Huntsville-Reception

The University of Alabama in Huntsville will be hosting a prospective student reception for students of Barbour County on Wednesday, November 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Lakepoint Resort State Park.  The reception will include a presentation about UAH including information about financial aid, student life, residence life, and academics.  The event will be catered and students are encouraged to bring their families.  Any student that attends the event will be given a fee waiver card so that they can complete the admissions application for FREE!  To register please visit:

Huntingdon College Preview Days

Visit Huntingdon!  Tour the campus, meet current students, talk with faculty in your area of interest, and learn more about the admission and financial aid processes.  Preview Days begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at noon.

ACT Registration Information

The next ACT test date is October 25, 2014.  The registration deadline is September 19.  The fee is $38.00.  The school code for Lakeside is 010-996.  Please see Ms. Susan if you need help completing the registration process or uploading your photo.
